Tyson chasing self-belief at Eagles

Sheffield Eagles centre George Tyson feels that his club are in need of more confidence, if they are to improve this season.

The Eagles have endured an inconsistent 2016 so far, and were knocked out of the Challenge Cup last week by Super League side Wakefield Wildcats.

Nevertheless, Tyson believes that there is plenty of quality in the Sheffield ranks, the players just need to believe in themselves a little more.

“We are a good side, we just need to believe in ourselves,” he told his club’s official website.

“We have some very skilful players here and when the sun is out and the pitch is drier we can really show what we are about.

“The game against Wakefield was about us building confidence into our season. Now we need to take the positives from last week and kick on.

“At times in the first half we weren’t so good, but in the second half we really came together as a team and it showed in the score.

“They only scored 12 points in the second half, and to be honest we should have restricted them to just six.”
