Tyler Dickinson leaves Huddersfield

Tyler Dickinson has left Huddersfield with immediate effect.

The 22-year-old front-rower made 18 appearances for the Giants since making his debut back in 2016.

Dickinson spent time on loan at Halifax, Keighley Cougars, Oldham, Newcastle Thunder and Workington Town in the last three seasons.

Giants’ managing director Richard Thewlis commented: “From speaking to Tyler, he was looking for a fresh start in 2019 and some guaranteed first-team game time.

“He had his end of season review with the coaches and saw his path through to our starting line-up as being extremely tough after understanding where they saw him and what he needed to do to break through.

“Rather than doing a full pre-season with us and then not making the 17, Tyler felt that a fresh start somewhere else would be his best bet and we have reluctantly agreed to his request.

“We wish him every possible success going forwards and we will watch his playing fortunes with interest.”
