Two more Hawks sign extensions

Hunslet have continued their preparations for next season with the re-signing of two of their Championship winning squad.

Tommy Haughey, 28, and George Rayner, 30, have agreed new one year deals as the club prepares for its return to the second tier.

Director of Rugby Darren Williams said: “Tommy was immense for us in 2010 scoring 13 tries in 26 appearances and his experience of playing at Championship level will stand us in good stead, his strength near the opposition line is a major facet.”

“George rejoined us at the back end of the season but still showed he possesses the pace to trouble any defence.”

The Hawks have already re-signed a host of their current squad, including Championship 1 player of the year Paul March and his brother David.
