Two men have been arrested following a 4am attack on Hull KR centre Sean Gleeson.

Gleeson, 26, was found on King Street in Wigan during the early hours of Sunday morning, with serious injuries to his eye and eye socket.

It is thought that the former Warriors player had been attacked after a row with three men in a nightclub.

Following the release of CCTV images, police revealed two men, aged 21 and 24, have been arrested on suspicion of assault.

Gleeson meanwhile, who is yet to play this season due to a broken leg, is recovering in hospital.
