Love Rugby League’s favourite Tweet of the week was a gruesome picture from Leeds playmaker Danny McGuire.

McGuire, 30, is out for the season after breaking his leg and he provided Twitter with this update on Thursday following an operation.

‏@DannyMcguire6 Pretty tasty scar!!!! pic.twitter.com/zEBw845k6C

The rest of the week’s round-up begins last Saturday at the Rosehill Gardens Racecourse in Australia, where Wests Tigers and New South Wales hooker Robbie Farah had reason to celebrate as the horse he part owns, Koroibete, came home first in the opening race of the day.

@robbiefarah Winners are grinners!! What a feeling having my first winner. Awesome #Koroibete

Up next was Rhys Hanbury supporting Jason Day in the climax of he US Open golf on Sunday.

@rhyshanbury Lets go Jason Day #usopen #AussieButLooksMexican

Unfortunately for Hanbury, Day finished in a tie for second and then the following day he was part of the losing Widnes side in Monday night’s Super League game against Leeds.

Returning, and scoring, for the Rhinos in their 38-28 win was outside back Ben Jones-Bishop and he had this to say afterwards.

@BenJonesbishop Great to be back out there. Fans were awesome. Thanks for messages. Look forward to building for Sunday

Corey Parker was confirmed in the Queensland squad for State of Origin Game II on Tuesday, and he is very pleased to be back in the fold.

‏@Coreyjparker13 I am very honored to be pulling on the maroon jumper again #QLD #13

Finally, Thursday saw this reaction from Huddersfield forward Eorl Crabtree to a fan describing him as a ‘docile pudding’.

@BigEorl Love when people slag me off but don’t realise I’m actually tagged in the post, haha, Cheers!
