Tuson could pull out of Wakefield move

Wigan forward Chris Tuson could pull out of his move to Wakefield for next season, according to the Wakefield Express.

Tuson, 23, agreed a two-year deal with the Wildcats earlier this year, despite being offered a new deal by the Warriors.

But Wakefield have been gripped by financial troubles, and have been forced to sell star playmaker Tim Smith to Salford, with other player departures expected.

Agar told the Wakefield Express: “I’ve spoke to Chris Tuson, explaining the situation.

“We’ve had the rug pulled from under us and that’s not what Chris signed up for, so I’ve given him the picture but I’ve also said it’s not what we sold him and it’s not what he signed up for so that decision is with Chris at the moment on whether he’s going to go through with the move.

“I’ve spoke to the people above me and we wouldn’t hold him to the move if he decided that was the case but I did reiterate to him that I am still extremely keen to have him on board next year.”

It is believed that another Super League player is also trying to back out of a deal to sign for another financially stricken club for next season.
