Turner raring to go at Huddersfield

Jordan Turner says he’s ready to play for Huddersfield despite only just arriving back in the UK from NRL side Canberra Raiders.

The Giants face Warrington on Sunday knowing a win will move them level with the Wolves in the Super League table and Turner is hoping to make an immediate impact for the Yorkshire outfit.

“I’m a bit jet-lagged – my body’s in a different timezone but I’m good to go,” he told the club’s official website.

“I’ve played plenty of Super League so I think I should be good to go out. This is my first session today so I’ve been getting to know the players.

“We’ve got some great players and that was one of the reasons that I signed here.

“Where we are in the table at the minute is an underachievement and if I thought of a true reflection of where this squad and team potentially could be then I probably would have guessed a higher position.

“There are some great players in there and I’m looking forward to helping the team. I feel like I’m in good condition and I’ve got a fair bit of experience behind me, so that should stand me in good stead.”
