Tuffour in Hunslet switch

York winger Dennis Tuffour has joined Championship rivals Hunslet on a month’s loan.

Tuffour moved to the Knights on a permanent basis at the start of the season from Hull after a successful dual-registration spell in 2010, where he scored nine tries in 11 appearances.

Hawks Director of Rugby Darren Williams said: “I was informed of Dennis’s availability yesterday afternoon and spoke with Ian Wilson immediately and we agreed a deal for a month’s loan initially.

“After speaking with Dennis it’s quite clear that he’s frustrated at his lack of opportunities at the Knights this season and it comes at a good time for us as we have a couple of minor injuries to both Waine Pryce and Richie Barnett.”

Williams added: “He’s certainly a strong finisher and will be available to us for the tough run of fixtures that includes Leigh, Sheffield, Batley and Halifax.”

Meanwhile, the Hawks have agreed to extend the loan of Tabua Cakacaka to Gateshead but have re-called centre Matty Harding to provide extra cover in the outside backs.
