Triple injury blow for Saints

St Helens win over Wakefield came at a cost, with three players, including captain James Graham, likely to miss the Good Friday clash against Wigan.

Winger Jamie Foster scored 24 points in the 52-6 victory over the Wildcats, but Saints ended the game with just 13 fit players.

Head coach Royce Simmons said: “We don’t know officially yet, but it looks like [Lee] Gaskell has fractured his ankle.

“[Chris] Flannery has torn a hamstring and James Graham has a sternum injury. They’re all unlikely to play over the easter period.

“Even the youngsters that have been coming in, four or five of them are out injured!”
