Trio stick with Hunslet

Hunslet have announced the retention of three more of their Championship 1 winning squad.

Full back Stuart Kain, winger Waine Pryce and centre Wayne McHugh have all signed deals to remain at South Leeds Stadium for 2011.

McHugh scored 28 tries in 20 appearances in 2010 while Pryce crossed for 21 tries in 20 games including a club record 6 tries in a game at Gateshead.

Director of Rugby Darren Williams said “We’re obviously delighted to retain our two most prolific scorers both have vast experience at Championship level and are proven finishers. They both had offers elsewhere so its a huge boost to the club to get their signatures. “

Full-back Kain, who moved from Featherstone at the beginning of last season, scored 11 tries in 23 appearances for the Hawks in 2010.

Williams added: “Stuart had a tremendously consistent 2010, his positional play is second to none and he is ultra safe under the high ball. As well as been a rock at the back he supports very well and regularly crosses the whitewash.”

“That’s just about the squad retention complete now so we move on to speaking to a couple of identified targets who have either Super League or Championship experience.”
