Trio return to boost Widnes

Widnes are set to welcome back key men Rhys Hanbury, Rangi Chase and Lloyd White for Friday’s Qualifiers opener against Warrington.

Full-back Hanbury hasn’t played since the win over Catalans at the start of June, while White has been in and out of Denis Betts’ side all season due to injury, making 12 appearances.

Chase, who recently completed a permanent move to the Halton Stadium having initially joined on loan from Castleford, has sat out the last two games due to suspension.

Wales international White told the club’s official website: “I’ve had a bit of an injury hit season, so I’m looking forward to coming back and stringing some good games together.

“The Qualifiers aren’t going to be easy, but we’ve got a good start against Warrington, which will challenge us straight away.

“Even the Championship sides will throw everything at us, so we need to be on our toes and at our best.”
