Hunslet have announced the re-signings of Dominic Brambani, Simon Brown and Jordan Andrade for the 2021 League 1 season.

Brambani, 34, has also featured at Castleford, Sheffield, Dewsbury and Batley before joining Hunslet in 2020.

He said: “As with others in the squad, it’s about unfinished business for me. We started off this year really well and topped League One after winning all our pre-season friendlies. We also had a good run in the Coral Challenge Cup and there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be challenging for promotion next year.”

Brown, 31, returned to the South Leeds Stadium in 2019 and has played more than 200 career appearances for Sheffield, York, Halifax, Dewsbury and Hunslet.

He said: “It’s a bit of a shame that the season was brought short. We had a good season in store but the coronavirus put a stop to it.  What had become clear to me was that Gary Thornton had got a great group of players together, on and off the field. We all get on very well together, which is almost unheard of. GT is retaining most of those players, and he’s working on bringing in some new ones, who will gel with the side.”

Prop Andrade, 28, also featured for Jamaica in last year’s game against England Knights at Headingley Stadium.

He said: “We’d gone under the radar a bit but we were going well, with a good team and good coaches. Head coach Gary Thornton is building the squad nicely for next season, retaining most of the players and bringing in some talented new ones, and after having proved ourselves earlier this year I see no reason why we shouldn’t be challenging for promotion in 2021. It’s great to be part of it.”
