Trio doubtful for Hawks

Danny Grimshaw (ankle), Scott Woodcock (finger) and Dave Clayton (ribs) are all doubtful for Hunslet’s Co-operative Championship One clash with Blackpool.

Victory for the Hawks against third-placed Blackpool will keep the pressure on league leaders Oldham, and coach Paul March is determined to bounce back from last week’s shock defeat at Rochdale.

March said: “We were poor in that second half last week. We gave too much possession away. We played dry weather football in the wet and we’ve got to learn from that.

“There were similarities from our game against Oldham earlier in the year. After that game we went seven on the trot scoring 40 points, so hopefully we can start another little run this time.”

David March returns after a bout of illness, while Wayne McHugh will be recalled after being rested last week.

Paul March added: “After the disappointment of last week everyone’s looking to put things right this week.”

Prop forward Andy Hobson remains suspended for Blackpool, while Paul Ballard, Jonny Leather and Neil Holland are also ruled out of Sunday’s trip to Yorkshire.
