Manly prop Jake Trbojevic has been added to the Australian squad for the Four Nations following the withdrawal of Canberra forward Josh Papalii.
Papalii has been ruled out of the tournament due to an ankle problem.
Uncapped Trbojevic will join the Kangaroos camp in Perth today.
“Jake will give us size and intimidation,” Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga said.
“It is always disappointing to lose a player of Josh’s calibre but this will be a wonderful opportunity for Jake and I’m excited to see what he can do in the green and gold jersey.”
22-year old Trbojevic made his debut for the Sea Eagles in 2013 and has played 47 NRL games.
