Toulouse have stepped up their bid to win promotion to Super League with the signing of hooker Eloi Pelissier from London Broncos for the 2021 Championship season.

The 29-year-old Pelissier made 155 appearances for Catalans Dragons from 2011-16 and also played for Leigh and Lezignan before joining the Broncos in 2018, helping them to victory in the Million Pound Game against Toronto to secure a place in Super League.

“I am very proud to join Toulouse Olympique,” said Pelissier, who has signed a two-year contract.

“I love challenges and it is a great challenge to join a very ambitious team with which I hope to relive a rise in the Super League, as with London in 2018.

“Rugby 13 in France needs a second club in the Super League and I will give 100% every second to contribute.”

Toulouse president Bernard Sarrazain said: “Eloi is a super recruit for our club, both on the human level because he will bring us all his experience of the very high level, and on the sporting level with his explosiveness and warrior-like qualities, which are key assets for the position of hooker.”
