Toulouse to stage League 1 final

Toulouse Olympique will host the inaugural League 1 final next month to determine promotion into the Championship.

The French side has earned the right to stage the fixture by finishing top of the table in their first season back in English competition.

The final will take place on Saturday September 17, at the Ernest Argeles Stadium in Blagnac, with Toulouse facing either Barrow or Rochdale.

The winner of that game goes automatically into the Championship in 2017.

The loser will go on to contest a four-team play-off competition to decide the other promotion place.
