Toulouse have signed winger Jy Hitchcox from Bradford on a two-year deal.

The 30-year-old was released by the Bulls on Tuesday at Hitchcox’s request to pursue an alternative playing option.

Hitchcox joined Bradford from Castleford ahead of last season, scoring five tries in 13 games for the club.

He said: “I am looking forward to joining the Toulouse Olympique.

“The playing style suits me and I wish to play an important role in achieving the goal of the club which is reaching the Super League.”

Toulouse chairman Bernard Sarrazain added: “We are pleased to welcome Jy to Toulouse.

“His qualities and his experience at the highest level can only help us achieve our goal.”
