Toulouse Olympique have retained star player Mark Kheirallah for the 2018 season.

The 27-year-old has caught the eye of a number of clubs in Super League and the Championship due to his impressive 2017 campaign but the French club have managed to keep hold of him for next year.

He came through the ranks at Sydney Roosters and made one NRL appearance before leaving the club. He joined Toulouse in 2012 and has continued to shine ever since.

Kheirallah has etched his name into the history books at Toulouse, scoring over 1,000 points for the club in just 122 games.

The France international was Olympique’s joint top-scorer last season, going over 20 times alongside Stan Robin.

He was one of France’s stand-out players at the 2017 Rugby League World Cup and he scored a magnificent 90-metre try against Australia in the group stages.

And he is delighted to be staying in France next season.

He said: “I cannot wait for the season to begin.

“We have a great group, we record the arrival of talented recruits who will join our team already full of quality.

“For my part, I intend to bring my maximum for this club, I love Toulouse, I feel very good here, I like living here.

TO XIII President Bernard Sarrazain added: “There is not much more to say about Mark. His performances speak for themselves. It’s a privilege to have a player like him in our ranks.”
