Toulouse centre Bastien Ader has been banned for four games for biting Rochdale centre Lewis Galbraith.

The incident happened during the 28-28 draw between the two clubs.

Toulouse denied Ader had bitten Galbraith, and stated that Galbraith set out to injure Ader in a statement on its website.

Despite this, Ader was found guilty by the match review panel of a Grade E biting charge.

The centre will miss the next month of games.

Rochdale CEO Ryan Bradley said his club is glad that the case has been heard and “feel appropriate action has been taken”.

“I have personally received some stick off Toulouse regarding the incident and my reaction probably wasn’t the best but I had my players welfare at heart- an incident of biting is inexcusable,” he said in a statement.

“As far as I am concerned we now beed to put the whole incident behind us.”
