Toulouse Olympique have re-signed centre Guy Armitage to a new two-year deal with the option of a further third.

The former rugby union youngster initially made the switch to the code in 2019 with London Broncos, where he made seven appearances.

He joined the French outfit in 2021, signing a deal after impressing head coach Sylvain Houles on a trial.

In 2021, he was limited to just two appearances in their promotion-winning year. He did however cross for three tries in that campaign.

During their 2022 Super League season, Armitage scored seven tries in 15 appearances, alongside three assists.

“We have a good group, My family and I feel at home in Toulouse and it is an adventure that we wanted to continue together.”

Club president Bernard Sarrazain added: “Being one of the assets of our line of attack, it was very important to extend Guy.

“His athletic power allows the team to be more incisive in every game. I am very happy to count him among us for the next few years.”
