Toulouse have completed the signing of Leigh winger Ilias Bergal for the 2019 season.
The 22-year-old was born and raised in Perpignan and spent four years in the junior ranks at Catalans Dragons, scoring 34 tries in 32 games for their reserves.
Bergal impressed in a short spell with Swinton Lions in 2017, bagging five tries in six appearances, earning him a full-time move to Leigh Centurions ahead of 2018.
The France international scored 13 tries in 11 matches for Leigh but left at the end of the season due to the club struggling financially.
On joining Toulouse, Bergal said: “I am very happy to sign for Toulouse, which is one of the best clubs in France, with a very competitive team.
“The players are really friendly and hardworking and can rely on high quality staff.
“I am eager to add my stone to the building and bring all my qualities to the group to achieve objectives.”
Olympique chairman Bernard Sarrazain added: “We are very pleased to have Ilias from next season.
“His background is impressive, and I am sure he will do even better in the colours of Toulouse.”
