Toronto to play St Helens in Warrington, not London

Toronto Wolfpack’s round five clash with St Helens will now be played at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington.

The game had previously been scheduled for Allianz Park, home of Saracens RU, as part of the Wolfpack’s on the road home games during the early part of the season.

No specifics have been given for the change, though the Wolfpack say “significant changes” had been made to the terms and conditions originally agreed for the fixture.

It had been expected to be moved to Ealing Trailfinders, home of London Broncos, but those talks broke down.

Toronto’s UK General Manager, Martin Vickers, said: “It is with great disappointment that we need to make this change but sadly it comes as a result of reasons outside of our control.

“We expect to announce details of ticket sales in the next week and look forward to a big crowd for the club’s first-ever meeting with Super League Champions St. Helens at the superb Halliwell Jones Stadium.”
