Toronto are to play their extra home game against St Helens at Allianz Park, the home of Saracens rugby union club.

The game is due to take place in round five on Saturday February 29, with Saints also travelling to Canada to play at Lamport Stadium on May 2.

Located in north west London, Allianz Park was renovated to host the Premiership Rugby club from 2013 and has an artificial pitch.

It has a reduced capacity of 8,500 for the 2019/20 rugby union season due to refurbishment works which will increase its permanent capacity to 10,500 – though it has been expanded to as high as 15,000 for one-off games in the European Champions Cup.

The site of the stadium, previously known as Barnet Copthall Stadium, hosted rugby league in 1993 and 1994, when London Crusaders played there for two seasons in the second division.

The announcement means all three of Toronto’s on-road home games are now known – Headingley (v Castleford, Feb 2), Allianz Park (v St Helens, Feb 29) and York Community Stadium (v Wakefield, Mar 22).
