Toronto star Jack Bussey has been banned for a total of 10 matches for biting and a high tackle.

Bussey pleaded guilty to the Grade F biting charge that he picked up in the Wolfpack’s win over Toulouse Olympique. He was given an eight-match suspension and a £250 fine for biting Bastien Ader.

In addition, in the same game he had accepted a one-match penalty notice for a high tackle. As the biting offence was committed prior to the high tackle under the sentencing guidelines, the one-match suspension was increased to two matches. He has been banned for a total of 10 matches.

Warrington Wolves winger Tom Lineham intents to challenge the grading of the Grade C high tackle charge. Due to Warrington’s request for the hearing to be adjourned, the case will be heard at a later date. Lineham will be stood down for this weekend’s fixture.
