Toronto confirm Pownall

Toronto Wolfpack have confirmed the signing of Leigh outside back Jonathan Pownall.

A fullback or winger, Pownall made his debut for Leigh in 2011.

The 25-year old has played more than 80 games for the Centurions.

“When this opportunity arose it was a matter of when, not if, I could get started,” Pownall said.

“I felt like I personally needed a new challenge and what better way than to start off with a new exciting venture in Toronto.

“I can’t wait to meet my new teammates and strive towards what is the goal for us all, Super League.”
