Toovey wants Bulls to end on a high

Bradford coach Geoff Toovey wants his side to go out on a high when they finish their Championship Shield campaign against Rochdale this weekend.

The Bulls have already been relegated to League 1, but have won four of their six fixtures in the Championship Shield.

He told the club’s official website: “It has been a well-documented, tough season for everyone at the club but to go out on a high would be good. We have done it for the last five weeks now, so to finish off at home with a win would be ideal.

“We are going to do our best and focus on the players sticking to their routines and enjoying their last game in front of hopefully a large home crowd.”

Bradford have won 10 of their 29 games this season, having started with a 12 point deduction.

Their recent upturn in form means that without the deduction, they would have been comfortably safe of relegation.
