Tony Williams – Chief Editor

Correspondent

Your Name: Tony Williams

Age: 18

Where are you from?: Runcorn

Who do you support?: Widnes Vikings

Favourite player past / present?: A difficult choice as I’ve been fortunate to see many players who were great in their own way. However, I would have to pick John Cogger, as a legend of Runcorn rugby league.

Your First Rugby League game?: Runcorn Highfield versus Carlisle at Canal Street. I was only a few weeks old at the time so I don’t remember any of it now – plus both clubs and the stadium are now no longer with us.

How did you find Last Tackle?: I’d say that Last Tackle found me, in the shape of James Gordon. I could hardly turn down the chance of working on such a promising project.

What made you become a writer on the site?: I’ve always enjoyed writing, and the site gave me an opportunity to write regularly on the greatest game of all.

Your personal aims for the site: I’d like to see Last Tackle become the nation’s authority on rugby league news and views.

Your future ambitions: Hopefully I’ll be able to spend my time writing about many important issues, including but not limited to rugby league.
