The RFL have confirmed that Sheffield forward Tony Tonks has been suspended for two games and fined £50.

This comes after he was found guilty of Grade B striking on Featherstone Rovers player Ian Hardman in the Championship fixture played on Monday April 6.

Tonks was suspended after appearing before an independent disciplinary tribunal in Leeds this evening.

Hardman earlier submitted an Early Guilty Plea to Grade A striking in the same incident. No suspension was imposed but the player loses the right to submit an Early Guilty Plea (EGP) for the next 12 months.
