Tipster Ste’s Friday night treble

Correspondent

A late come back by Catalan Dragons cost me my first winning treble of the season last weekend.  I am confident my luck will change with this weeks treble.

All three games are played on Friday night and first up is Leeds Rhinos home game against Salford City Reds.  Leeds have been hurt by two consecutive defeats to Warrington and Harlequins.  Leeds rarely lose a home game it’s unimaginable for them to lose two on the bounce at home.

Brian McDermott will be looking for a consistent 80-minute performance from his side.  Leeds performed in patches against Warrington last week and they will have to improve their defence.  Salford of course are no Warrington Wolves and they face a real up hill task this Friday evening.

Salford put up a respectable performance last week against Wigan but will have to improve dramatically to get any where close to Leeds.  With pace to burn in the Leeds side I am more than confident that they will cover this weeks handicap of -14.

Second pick this weekend are the Harlequins who travel north to face a severely weakened St Helens side.  Saints already without Leon Pryce have been hit by other injuries this weekend including the loss of Jon Wilkin.

For Quins to receive a 16 point start is more than generous.  New coach Rob Powell has got his squad playing really good rugby league and their last away day was a victory at Headingley against Leeds Rhinos.

Whilst Quins might not ultimately win the match I am confident they won’t lose by 16 points.

Finally I round up the treble with the live Sky TV game between Wakefield Trinity Wildcats vs. Warrington Wolves.  Warrington are on fire at the moment and playing some scintillating rugby league whilst Wakefield are leaking points badly in recent games.

There is only one outcome in this game and it’s a case of how many Warrington are going to win by.  If Warrington start strongly they will easily over come the handicap of -20 points in this match.

Enjoy your rugby league wherever you are this weekend!
