Tipster Ste on course for weekend treble

Year to Date Profit/Loss = -2 pts

Weekend Selections

Bradford Bulls (-4)
Catalan Dragons (+10)
Hull FC (+2)

Treble = 11/2

Last weeks treble was denied a winning victory when Leigh Centurions failed to cover the -26 handicap. This week I think the value is in three Super League fixtures, which start with today’s game in the capital between Harlequins and Bradford.

Quins have been in poor form of late whilst Bulls coach Mick Potter appears to have got Bradford back on track and they need to continue their current form to maintain a push for a Super League place. In the hot weather conditions today you can expect plenty of points to be scored but I feel the Bulls are more than capable of covering the -4 handicap.

With the Bulls, I choose Catalans in tonight’s exciting clash against Wigan. Dragons are looking to pull off the double over Wigan in 2011 after their excellent victory earlier in the year at the DW Stadium. Again expect an open game with exciting rugby league, but I feel the +10 to Catalans is a generous handicap start. The Dragons may win this game but if they should go on to lose it I do not think on current form Catalans will lose by more than 10 points.

The final piece of the handicap treble is in tomorrow’s fierce derby up on Humberside between Hull Kingston Rovers and Hull FC. Always fiercely competitive affairs played out in front of passionate fans. This will be a close game but the return of big game talisman Sean Long could just edge it to FC. Prior to the defeat to Huddersfield last week Hull FC were in great form and coach Richard Agar will quickly want them to rediscover that form. FC have been given a +2 start so I take FC to win this game and round up this weeks handicap treble!

Enjoy your rugby league wherever you are this weekend!
