Tigers CEO hails stadium feedback

Castleford Tigers have received an “overwhelming” amount of feedback from supporters over architect’s designs for their new stadium.

The club asked its supporters to give feedback on the designs by architects Ramsdens and Partners and they responded in their thousands via www.castigers.com and the Visitors Centre at Xscape.

Chief executive Richard Wright explains: “The feedback for the designs has been overwhelming and we are very grateful to our fans for their support.

“The stadium will be the biggest single development in the club’s history and it was extremely important that we captured the thoughts and ideas of supporters before finalising the design.

“There were a number of common issues which were highlighted and some good ideas that have been presented to the architects. We expect to be in a position to submit a detailed planning application, with a finalised design included by mid October.”

Richard spoke in-depth to Tigers TV on the club’s official web site – www.castigers.com – regarding many of the most common issues raised; including the corners of the stadium, proposed floodlights, corporate facilities, stadium colour scheme and the idea of a memorial garden.
