Tickle ban reduced on appeal

Hull second-rower Danny Tickle has successfully appealed against his two-match ban for a dangerous tackle in the 26-6 win over Harlequins.

The decision means that Tickle’s ever-present record in Super League remains intact.

The appeals panel agreed to reduce the ban to just one game, which Tickle had already technically served by missing out on the Carnegie Floodlight Nines.

Tickle will now be able to play in Hull’s penultimate game of the season against Wigan Warriors – his former club – at the DW Stadium on Friday.

Tickle is still required to pay the £300 fine he was originally given.
