Three players have been charged with offences committed in the weekend’s Challenge Cup sixth round ties.

Jon Wilkin of St Helens has been charged with Grade B reckless striking with the arm on York City Knights player Adam Dent in the tie played at Langtree Park on Friday May 18.

Mickael Simon of Wakefield Wildcats has been charged with Grade B reckless striking with the shoulder on Leigh Centurions player Martyn Ridyard in the fixture played at Belle Vue on Sunday May 17.

Catalans Dragons player Jeff Lima has been charged with Grade D striking with the shoulder on Remi Marginet of Featherstone Rovers in the tie played at Stade Gilbert Brutus on Sunday May 17.

Wilkin and Simon have until 11am on Tuesday May 19 to submit Early Guilty Pleas (EGP). Lima does not have the option of submitting an EGP and will appear before an independent disciplinary tribunal on Tuesday evening.

All three were charged after the incidents were viewed by the RFL Match Review Panel, which also issued a formal caution to Jacob Miller of Wakefield for making a dangerous throw on Leigh’s Ryan Brierley.
