Sam Baker, Kurtis Haile and Alex King have signed contracts with West Wales for the 2019 campaign.

Baker had his first taste of League 1 last season after joining from Welsh amateur side Torfaen Tigers. He has previously played for Swansea University, GB Pioneers and Wales Dragonhearts.

Haile joined the Raiders after playing for Torfaen Tigers and Wales Dragonhearts, while King has not played for the Raiders since they were in the Conference League South but re-joins the club ahead of the new season.

Raiders’ coach Kim Williams commented: “Sam and Kurtis have been two of the standouts at training during our pre-season so far.

“Sam is overcoming a shoulder injury but his work ethic and determination will ensure that he is competing strongly for a spot come round one.

“Kurtis is another player who continues to impress at training. His attitude and commitment cannot be questioned, and I have already seen significant improvement in his skill level and understanding of his role. I am looking forward to watching him continue to develop throughout 2019.

“Alex has returned to the club after some excellent performances for Swansea University. He covers the key positions of half-back and hooker and has trained impressively since joining the squad a month ago. Alex has a very good kicking game and I’m sure he will be in the mix for a spot in the top 17 for round one.”
