Three Championships players banned

Jim Gannon, Duane Straugheir and Carl Sice have all been handed bans by the RFL Disciplinary Committee.

Halifax prop Gannon and Sheffield centre Straugheir have been banned for one match for fighting during the recent Championship clash between the two sides, with Gannon also fined £50.

Whitehaven hooker Sice submitted an early guilty plea to making dangerous contact with the legs of an opponent in the act of kicking the ball in their Championship 1 match against Doncaster, and will now miss two matches through suspension.
