Thornhill to face Russians

Strela were initially drawn at home, but the rules of the competition state that Thornhill will have home advantage, with the game likely to be played at Dewsbury Rams’ Tetley Stadium.

The BARLA National Conference side faced overseas opposition last year in the form of Les Catalans Dragons after they caused an upset by beating National League Two Workington Town.

Meanwhile, competition sponsors Leeds Metropolitan University were drawn away at Leigh Miners Rangers, after having defeated Wigan St Patricks in round one.
