Thornhill Trojans player Jake Wilson is facing a lengthy ban after being issued with three separate sanctions by the RFL disciplinary.

Wilson has been referred to a tribunal for two Grade F Other Contrary Behaviour and one Grade D intentionally stands on charge following their Challenge Cup defeat to Doncaster.

A video posted on social media earlier this week showed an unpunished tackle on Connor Robinson where Wilson appeared to lunge in two-footed on the half-back.

Doncaster won the game 24-6.

DRAW: Challenge Cup third round and fourth round draw

Keighley centre Dan Parker will also face a tribunal, faced with a Grade D Other Contrary Behaviour charge following their cup defeat at Hunslet.

His team-mate Kyle Kesik was handed a two match ban for striking with the knee.

In the Championship, Barrow forward Sam Brooks was banned for three matches for dangerous contact, while Dewsbury’s Michael Knowles handed a two match ban for a headbutt.

Newcastle’s Nathan Wilde and Workington’s Evan Simons both received two match bans for dangerous contact.

Two incidents involving referees resulted in bans too – West Wales’ Michael Holden will miss two matches following a Grade C contact with referee, and Whitehaven winger Andrew Bulman was banned for one match for using foul language to the referee.

It was a busy week for the disciplinary panel following the weekend’s Championship and Challenge Cup games.

Therefore cases from last weekend’s pre-season games involving Super League clubs will now be considered by the Match Review Panel on Monday.
