Thomas aiming to claim Bradford starting spot

Bradford utility back Oscar Thomas has aimed to nail down a starting spot in Bulls interim coach Leigh Beattie’s starting side this season.

Having started both Bulls games so far at full back, the Scotland international is fighting off a challenge from Johnny Campbell for the starting number 1 role.

“I hope that I am doing enough to prove to Leigh (Beattie) that I am worth his choice every week,” said Thomas.

“Game time is something that I thrive on, for me to develop as a player, the starting position is something that I crave.

“I take all the positives I can from anything, the team has only been put together a few weeks ago so I think we have done great things for how long we have been an official unit.

“It’s only going to help us play better against teams, especially in this league.”
