Thackeray ruled out with elbow injury

Featherstone’s Anthony Thackeray is facing a month on the sidelines with an elbow injury.

Thackeray, 32, dislocated his elbow in the win over Leigh last weekend and is looking at a four to six week recovery.

He has scored four tries in five appearances so far this season with coach John Duffy often playing him in the full-back position to accommodate their wealth of options at half back.

The former Hull, Castleford and Widnes man is one of two players to drop out of Duffy’s 19-man squad for this Sunday’s game against Swinton, the other being Jack Ormondroyd, who has returned to parent club Leeds.

Misi Taulapapa and John Davies both return from minor injury for the game at LD Nutrition Stadium.
