Team spirit key, says Amor

Kyle Amor has identified Wakefield’s recent run of form to be down to a positive team spirit.

The Wildcats were narrowly beaten 44-40 by Leeds on Monday, but they have still won four of their last six Super League games.

Amor, 25, has been on top form of late and reiterated how the togetherness within the squad has helped change their fortunes on the pitch.

He said: “We have all gelled massively since day one and I can’t speak highly enough of the blokes.

“I really enjoy their company every day when I come to training. It has been over the last couple of weeks where we have taken steps in the right direction.

“We certainly played well enough in patches at start of the year but it has just clicked so now we are playing for much longer periods the way we would like too. We are pretty happy with what we are doing but we know there is still lots of work to do.”

Wakefield sit eleventh place in the table, six points behind Leeds, who currently occupy the final play-off berth.
