Taylor extends stay at the Rec

Whitehaven RL centre Chris Taylor has signed on at The Recreation Ground for a further 12 months.

Recent years have seen Taylor become one of the first names on the team sheet at the Recreation Ground.

This season he amassed 27 appearances, scoring 6 tries.

Talking about extending his stay in the Chocolate, Blue & Gold Chris said “I’m really pleased to have signed another 12 month at Whitehaven having just missed out on promotion last season. Hopefully with the squad Foz and the board are putting together we make the championship in 2018.”

Head coach Carl Forster added “It’s great to have Chris on board. With interest from elsewhere it shows his commitment to the club. He’s another player that shows our intent for the new season and he was a big part of our plans moving forward.”

Chris is now the 14th player to sign up for the 2018 season with more announcements due from the club in the coming weeks.
