Promising Hull KR forward Scott Taylor has commited his future to the Robins by penning a new two-year deal.

The 20-year old has made 13 Super League appearances for the club, 9 of which have been in 2011, and he now aims to break through and become a first team regular:

“I’ve just turned 20 so I’m really happy with my progress and hopefully I can get some more games before the season’s out.”

The youngster also commented “I love this club.  They’ve taught me everything I know and I’m happy to stay here for the rest of my career with the way I feel at the minute so I’m just looking forward to the next two years.”

Coach Justin Morgan was full of praise for the enthusiastic prop forward:

“Scott has got a lot of potential. He’s got a really great work ethic for improving his game and he’s got a thirst for knowledge. He’s still only twenty but he’s impressed me this year with his maturity on the training field and he has done well in the first team appearances he has made.”

Rumours had been circulating that the Robins Academy product was a target for other Super League clubs, however Taylor made it clear there was only one club he wants to be at to continue his progress:

“It’s where I’ve learnt my trade and I’ve been part of the first team for three years now and I’m loving it.”
