Taylor cannot pick a Million Pound winner

Hull FC prop Scott Taylor is finding it hard to pick a winner when it comes to Saturday’s Million Pound Game between Hull KR and Salford.

Taylor has played for both clubs in the past during his career, and he feels some sympathy for both players and owners at having to be involved in the game.

But he wishes both teams well, as they look to compete for a place in Super League next season.

“Someone texted me and asked who would be the winner, and I just said ‘Rugby league will be the winner!” Taylor told Love Rugby League.

“They are two great teams, with great history.

“Marwan Koukash [Salford owner] I worked with at Salford, I still speak to him and get on with him really well.

“I bumped into Neil Hudgell [Hull KR chairman] the other day, and I get on really well with him still too.

“They are two great owners and two great teams, and it feels really sad that one of them won’t be in Super League next year.

“May the best team win. I wish good luck to both.

“Whatever happens after that, I hope the clubs are looked after and the players are looked after, and that they’re fighting to get back in Super League next year.”
