Taylor, Anderson racing to be fit

Forwards Dave Taylor and Louis Anderson are in a race against time to be fit for Catalans opener against Wigan at the DW Stadium.

The pair are both battling calf injuries as the start of the Super League season approaches. The Dragons take on the Warriors on UK soil in round one.

Both Taylor and Anderson missed Catalans’ 26-16 friendly loss to Huddersfield last week. The Australian has only recently joined the club from the Gold Coast, while the 30-year old Kiwi has been with the club since 2012.

The loss of both of them for round one would be a blow to the French club. Paul Aiton and Remy Casty are also recovering from injury as the 2016 season approaches.

A Catalans spokesperson confirmed to Love Rugby League that outside back Krisnan Inu is preparing for the match against Wigan.

Inu has been linked with a return to the NRL to join the Titans. But Love Rugby League understands that Inu is still in France and at this stage is likely to feature in round one against the Warriors.
