Tasi: We can make top four

Salford prop Lama Tasi is confident the Red Devils can make a significant improvement on last season’s position and push for a finals spot.

Salford finished 10th and narrowly avoided relegation by defeating Hull KR in the Million Pound Game.

“I honestly believe we can finish in the top four,” Tasi said.

“Realistically we want to be in that top four but we just need to stay injury-free and earn the right to get into that top four.”

Tasi has returned to the AJ Bell Stadium after a spell at St Helens. The front-rower has real eagerness to make a positive contribution now he is back.

Tasi joined Saints on a two-year deal but made just 19 appearances before rejoining the Red Devils.

“I can’t wait it’s probably the most excited I’ve been in a long time,” he told Love Rugby League.

“I’m older now and wiser. It [Salford] is like a home away from home and brings that feeling of home over here in the UK.

“It makes everything a lot easier when you’ve played with other boys before and you’ve had that connection.”
