Tasi linked with Salford

St Helens prop Lama Tasi is close to a surprise return to his former club Salford for next season.

Tasi joined Saints at the start of 2016 from the Red Devils on a two-year deal.

He made 19 appearances for the Red V this year.

It is believed Tasi will rejoin Salford in the next few weeks, after playing 57 games for the club from 2014-2015.

A Samoan international, the 26-year old had stints with the Roosters and Brisbane before arriving in Super League three years ago.

Love Rugby League also understands that Wigan prop Lee Mossop is also close to landing a deal with the Red Devils.
