Fetuli Talanoa is hoping to return to the Hull FC line-up for Saturday’s Magic Weekend meeting with St Helens.

Talanoa has been on the sidelines since Good Friday with a hamstring problem, but the 29-year-old is eager to make his return against the Saints.

“I’m just trying to put my best foot forward and try get in the side and hopefully I’ll be ready to go this weekend,” he told the club’s official website.

“This venue’s been good to me. I’ve put together some performances and the team as well. I’m looking forward to it.

“It’s a big event for the Super League and I’m sure the boys will be ready to go as well as our fans.”

Hull defeated St Helens 24-14 back in March, but with new coach Justin Holbrook due to arrive this week Talanoa believes they will be fired up on Saturday.

“We’re preparing for the best St Helens team – nothing changes for us and we’re focusing on our game plan and what we can do to get the two points,” he added.

“We played them earlier in the year and we can tweak a few things. We’ve just got to focus on us and what we do well and how we start and finish games.”
