Tahu set for Eels return

Australia and Origin star Timana Tahu is set to turn his back on his rugby union career and return to the NRL with Parramatta.

Tahu will rejoin the Eels on a three-year deal after a two year stint with the New South Wales Waratahs.

The 29-year-old enjoyed little success during his rugby union career spending large amounts of time on the replacements bench.

Tahu, who also failed to gain a start for the Wallabies, will excercise a get-out clause in his contract with the ARU to return to rugby league.

Parramatta have already began preparations for next season by landing the signatures of front rowers Justin Poore from St George Illawarra and Shane Shackleton from Sydney.
