Sydney Roosters have signed Brett Morris from Canterbury on a two-year deal from 2019.

The 31-year-old has scored 112 tries in 232 NRL games to date since making his debut for St George Illawarra Dragons in 2006. He has played 62 games for Canterbury so far.

Morris has earned 18 caps for Australia and has represented New South Wales 15 times at origin level before announcing his retirement from representative rugby league in 2017.

On signing the winger or full-back, Roosters recruitment manager Adam Hartigan said: “Brett is one of the most experienced finishes in the game with plenty of good football still in him, and we are pleased to have secured his services.

“Not only will Brett add experience and depth to our squad, he will also be a terrific mentor to some of the younger backs here at the club.”

Morris will finish the current season with the Bulldogs.
