Swinton wait on Morley availability

Swinton must wait until after Warrington’s game with Hull on Friday night to see if veteran prop Adrian Morley is available for their game against North Wales Crusaders on Sunday.

Morley, returning from a bicep injury, is 18th man for Warrington but if he is not required for Friday’s Super league clash then he will play for the Lions against the Welshman in the Northern Rail Cup at Leigh Sports Village (3pm).

Swinton coach Gary Chambers said: “We have got a couple of injuries with Danny Bridge joining Daz Hawkyard on the sidelines with a broken hand and Liam Hulme 50/50 with a sternum injury.

“Morley will come in on dual-reg if he is not required by Warrington.”

Centre Rhys Williams has also been drafted into the Swinton squad while veteran hooker Mark Smith will return after injury.

Chambers added: “North Wales are a team in form and at the top of their league and they will fancy their chances against us.

“But we are confident because we have played some good stuff recently.

“We need to play like we did in the first half against Batley and just be a bit smarter.

Mark Smith coming back will add some more experience to the side and we are all looking forward to the game.”

David Mills and Gene Ormsby have been banned for one match for punching against Batley last week and will miss the next Championship game at Dewsbury.
